Currently, reordering fields in custom assets is unreliable and buggy. Even support could not reorder them for me, because moving one field often causes the others to shift unpredictably.

This is especially problematic when you need to add a new field to an existing collection. The new field always defaults to the end, and you cannot move it to the correct position. This makes updating collections messy and confusing, as the field order does not reflect the intended hierarchy.

For example, I added a “Sub-title” field to a collection. I wanted it to appear below “Title”, but the platform would not allow it, and it remained at the end. This disrupts logical organization and makes managing collections unnecessarily difficult.

Improving field reordering would greatly enhance usability and maintainability of custom asset collections.
