Right now, handling a large volume of photos can be cumbersome... Allowing us to create subfolders would enable us to organize our media in a way that suits our individual needs.

I want to upvote this a million times over! Since giving up WP, it's the biggest feature I miss that extensions would provide. This would be HUGE! I appreciate being able to upvote this. Brizy Cloud is so good!

Very necessary. Even for basic portfolio sites, to organize assets per project/case study

A simple solution here is, use Happyfiles or HF Pro. Very flexible and stable. Also files can be easy moved around. Paid version livetime and multiside.

I agree with Alex. In order to keep the Media Library organized there should be a sort feature (which includes alphabetizing) and folder structure. For those of us that don't want to waste time looking through a messy dumping grounds, having the ability to create a folder structure, one could create a Home, Services, Contact, etc., folder structure and put assets that pertain to specific pages/posts/stories, etc., and then easily know where to look for media.
